Need a bit of shopping and took off - landed eventually at Christchurch (I only wanted to go to Lymington!) We went down to the car park at the sea, but there was a thick sea mist. I walked down the steps to a shingle beach, and dabbled my hands in the sea - and my feet, but not intentionally! I saw a cormorant sitting on a notice at the end of the breakwater. Climbed back, out of breath; noticed a cliff walk which looked quite inviting. We then went into the town itself, did some shopping at Sainsburys. Looking around the abbey, the castle, the shops - had lunch at a super pub near the abbey - enjoyed that! Went to Lyndhurst, so that Brie could look at his hotel - was The Grand, but it’s name is changed. He showed me the bedroom he was in, whilst he was doing his Electrical Mechanics course, which he didn’t finish. Went back through the New Forest - tried to go for a walk, but after wet underfoot - got wet feet again. I found another walk where I saw two wrens, who sang to me and wagged their tiny tails. Met 3 lads who thought they might be lost, doing their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. They weren’t really lost, and we left there to walk back to Brockenhurst. Went back to find lots of people sorting out caravans. Bill enjoyed watching the fun, while I got tea.
