Got up for a shower and to get packing done and ready to go. Worked out route, Bill did as well. It was really quite easy in spite of many large leviathans (lorries!). The Dartford bridge is quite a sight, but nothing like the “Pont du Normandie”. It rained on & off, but it soon cleared and the site is now full of sun and evening shadows. A man on the site, who Bill spoke to at the ‘facilities’, came over later with a map of this area, showing whereabouts bombs were dropped during the war! I don’t exactly know why - but anyway he talked about it all, and also told us about the strawberry fields up the road, where we hope to go ‘picking our own’. Had a good night’s sleep, after a fine sunny day.
