Boston Endeavour, 'Stump' & Turkey baguette for the cat
Rained in the night, and windy. I wanted to see the ‘Endeavour’ at Boston, where it’s anchored at the moment. It stopped raining and the sun came out fitfully through the clouds, and by the time we got to Boston - about 12 miles - it was sunny, but very windy, though quite warm in the sun. We visited the ‘Stump’ a remarkable cathedral with its tall spire. There was a fair in the shopping centre - very noise! We walked round trying to get a snack, and Bill started to suffer with pain in hips etc. Eventually in Wormgate, we found a pub which served the most enormous baguettes stuffed with turkey, which we brought back for the cat, who hasn’t appeared since! The cyclists are leaving tomorrow - they spend the evenings in the local pub down the road! At Spilsby is an AirForce base and museum where you can have rides in old planes - there’s a Lancaster & Spitfire.
