Wonderful morning again - a bit later in waking up, but I’d had to ‘pay a visit’ during the night, so I needed to sleep. There was a market in Horncastle today, and Bill bought a pair of trainers for £9.99 - good ones I think. We lost our way into the town, but I saw a notice for the tourist info bureau which is in an old church. We went there and found a local artist’s exhibition, there was some very good work displayed, and I saw a little seascape I liked - and Bill liked it too, so I bought it for £20, I have to collect it Monday. We then went into Horncastle, where we split up and I tried to find the 8 Antique shops we’d been told were there - I found four, and Bill found a couple I think - only he found a shop selling Clarice Cliff, and he bought a plate (£20). I found a little table with a drawer in it - I had to search through a few of the same until I got one in a good order; it’s for a plant stand in the hall, as the other one sticks out too far - or so Bill thinks - I suppose he’s right really. We came back later than we meant to but it didn’t matter! The weather clouded up, but at 7.10pm it’s clearing and the sun has returned. A small group of cyclists have arrived - from Nottingham, so we had a talk with them. I bought a second-hand book in Horncastle by Mary Stewart, I’m enjoying that. Not much pig farm smell tonight! We finished yesterday’s wine. Would like to go to Boston tomorrow to see the Endeavour.
