Jean Lurçat exhibition
Free day - as they say! Did those things we ought to have done, and didn’t do those things we ought not to have done - so that’s ok! Had bits of shopping to do and then after lunch (an enormous piece of pizza!) We went to the exhibition of Jean Lurçat’s work, on show at the Art Gallery, come disco, bingo hall, who have you - casino, bar - very good too I should think. Lots of J. L.’s tapestries, pots etc - would have likes something but they’re all rather expensive. Bill did some washing later (not at the casino!) - very hot day again. The castle is just beginning to light up, as the sky darkened from egg shell blue to rosé - had white wine for diner - Montbasilac. We move on, going north, tomorrow.
