We went out to Intermarché and later, Champion, to fetch the ‘duty free’. Then we made our way to Coupesarte, to see the ancient manoir. There were a lot of lath & plaster buildings in the area - but this one is rather special & it’s still lived in, and the ancient barns are still full of cows - as it’s a working farm. Bill used his film up taking one or two photographs - we stopped for a café on the way back in a little village, and I bought a pair of shoes for Zoë in a shop which was selling all kinds of things - Bill got some fishing floats cheap in the sale as well. We had our last meal of ‘dinde’ etc, packed up - said goodbye to the lady and her son, who comes every year to Falaise. We had a couple of sets before that. Left late and Bill drove the last bit in the dark.

We also visited Château de Vendeuvre, where there was a miniature furniture exhibition. A very good château for visiting, as it was furnished! The revolutionists must have missed it!
