Bagnoles-de-l'Orne and Domfront
Rained early - we went to la Ferté Macé, had coffee there. Then on to Bagnoles-de-l’Orne - a ‘station’ ‘thermale’ - a bit like Cheltenham Spa - lovely buildings, park and lake. Shetland ponies in the park, Bill gave them some sugar. We had lunch in a restaurant - UNREADBALE! We went on to Domfront, and on the way, first out of Bagnoles - we stopped, and there were two races going on, one was vintage motorbikes, 1926, 1929, and everyone was dressed up in old clothes. Domfront has an old castle, but mostly ruins. We had to stop on the way back to let some racing cyclists go away round a corner. Came back, played badminton with Bill, then played with a Dutch boy, then played tennis, then badminton. Had a discussion. Fed a ‘minon’ cat - comes if you call ‘chat, chat’ but not if you say ‘pios’!! We fed it!
