Sunburn, church, food
Hottest day yet - started with a thick mist everywhere. We went to Kerval. I swam a bit. In the morning we visited Locronan and I walked down the hill to see an old chapel, it was lonely, it had a wooden gallery at the back, and a group of medieval figurines which were well preserved, showing the V. Mary and the Christ from the cross, with 3 others. There was also an ancient lavoir at the side of it, still used I think. The water was warm in the sea, and I eventually slept a bit! I got burnt in patches - a bit like barbecued steak. We went to cast in our search for food, without success, but ended up in a seedy-looking cafe where we had an enormous meal, quite cheaply, and a beautiful crepe avec citron et beuvre, and masses of chips!
