Pont-D'Ouilly & St. Christophe
After waving farewell to N. & B., we set off for Pont-D’Ouilly to meet Pat and Fred. Got to the Auberge at St. Christophe but P & F weren’t there, so we left a note and went back into Pont-D’Ouilly. We sat and had a coffee - it was quite hot by this time - the weather not the coffee! After a while P & F appeared, so we went to the supermarket, got some food, and some cidre bouché, trotted off to the park to eat our lunch. Weather v. hot. Went to the loo at the campsite opposite where some lads were playing around with the water - got splashed, shouted at them but it didn’t make any difference - still it was cool! Went back to St. Christophe and walked along by the river - Pat has badly bruised her foot, falling over a step. We finally returned to the Auberge where we sat on the grass. Pat and I played scrabble. Bill & Fred went to Pont D. and had a couple of beers. Pat and I stayed in the garden, until it was dinner time. We all had dinner together, very good it was too. We were locked out of the campsite again, but were prepared this time!
