Slept well, used P.P., hurrah! Went to Pont-D’Ouilly - but not before I tripped across to the loo wearing my vegeburger nightshirt - as I’ve forgotten my nighties - and a pair of pants - thinking no-one would be around, but 2 French work man were at the loos, and I tried not to be there in my mind, but I guess my body was a bit conspicuous, even if I did run all the way!
We bought some lunch and ate it in a park by the river in Pont-D’Ouilly, washed down with cidre bouché - very good. We went to the Orne Valley barrage at Rabodanges, walked down to the river bed which had been stopped - it’s still there - the river - but just a stream now, although there is a walking about possibility of flooding when use is great by businesses. Lots of butterflies in the area. We also visited La Roche d’Oëtre, horrifying rock over the gorge - Bill stood on the edge and made me feel ill! We sat and drank de-caff coffee in the restaurant there. Walked around the ramparts of the castle. Was locked out!
