Concoret and Sacred Forest
Lovely morning - finished packing - packed picture. Said goodbye - or au revoir - to the Kennedys - they insist we visit them - Fred said he’d pick us up at the ferry! Set off on our extended journey home. Decided to stay at Concoret, on a Municipal site with a small finishing lake. French facilities, plain and clean. One needs a doorknob with which to have a shower! Found out there is a guide touristique, so did some of it. Didn’t find La Fontaine de Jouvence or Merlin’s Tomb - it’s a sacred forest, linked with the white deer, Merlin, Viviane-la-fée and Sir Lancelot and surprise, surprise - the Holy Grail, it is le forêt de Paimpont. Did get to Paimpont UNREADABLE, where we bought UNREADABLE for tea, and Bill bought some asticots for the fishes. He is hoping to catch some! I can see him now, fishing in the lake, the view from the caravan today. I took a photo of the view, while the sun was still up. The site is called Du Val aux fees.
