Got up a little later. Did a tour round about the area and found an interesting and extremely ancient Abbaye - it had the original stone floor of the 10th, and colours decorated with animals, birds etc., including an excellent representation of the Temptation - which was really animated. We managed to get to Dun-sur-Auron, there was a Saturday market and we had a very nice lunch in an old beamed restaurant - very reasonable - pizzas & salad, and me sorbets to finish. Bill, having started the day with the runs, continued in the same vein so after visiting Meillans château - interesting ceilings, and leather wall coverings - we returned to D.S. Auron for some pills. Drove back to the camp rather quickly to avoid any disaster! Couldn’t sleep much because of rowdy people at the bar! I think they were the itinerants and the hangers-on at the bar. It seemed a good idea at the time to camp on that spot - but it’s lost its glamour! Very hot again all day.
