Visiting Paul & Yvette in St.Germain in their beautiful 100 year old house
After a little rain, it is a bit fresher, but not much. Not easy to function in the heat! Couldn’t find anywhere open - obviously Monday is early-closing. Come back - I went to dock at ‘lac’, many fish. There is a stone chipping quarry there. Bill has found a puncture in the caravan ‘pneu’ - pumped it up - doesn’t seem too bad at the moment. Went to St. Germain and has to ask the way from the garage. Arrived and was astounded. The house is lovely, 100 years old and has quite a large garden with trees from all the continents. Inside it is wood panelled, the ceilings anyway, and Paul and Yvette have many antiques, some of which have been handed down from their respective families - they insisted we stayed with them - so back we went to the campsite , Paul came to show us the way, and we got here O.K. the ‘pneu’ staying up. We have a huge bedroom to ourselves, with a dressing room/come bathroom off. Very comfortable. It has two antique armoires, and three chairs, a dressing table and 2 side tables with lamps on.
