Château Bienassis & Church St Jacques Majeur & Port Morvan
Dull windy morning, we did a trip to a château called Bienassis, but lost our way and by the time we found it, it had closed until 2PM. So we had lunch at site and returned to the château. A guide showed us round - very pretty surroundings and quite well furnished. She gave us an English translation of the tour, which had quite a few inaccuracies- such as “Chineese”, “Warbrode”, “ceeling” - all repeated several times! Then we visited a church St Jacques Majeur, which was closed, then we got lost, but eventually found a little bay, called Port Morvan. We climbed up the footpath to the clifftop and could see Le Val-André bay. Retraced our tyre marks to Pleneuf harbour where we had a drink. Came home and cooked dinner. Pots, Ratatouille (last of what I made Sunday or was it Saturday?) & Strawburgers. Bill has arranged for his Camping Carret (?) to be posted on to us from Falaise.
