Communal shower, cheap dresses on market, and cheap wine
Had a ‘communal’ shower - 20p for a jeton, plenty of room for two. Got on our way just before 10am. Hot, but with a slight breeze. We stopped at Mirebeau for a drink and Bill needed a bank. Walked into the centre - there was a market. Polyester dresses were selling for 30F. Looked round the mkt - lost Bill (he’d needed his passport) - waited a while then went back to the car - he arrived - after walking right round the ramparts of the town. We stopped for lunch in a bar! Set off again - Châtellerault, La Roche-Posay, Mézières and Buzançais where we came into the ‘campings’. Le têtenoire, 3-star, very pleasant site, set in a park, next to the Indre, which now is scarcely more than a trickle. Wine is much cheaper here we noticed - so had some for our evening meal.
