Route to Carnac
Set off for Carnac at 10.30 - our usual time! Went to Lamballe, Moncontour, Plouguenast, Loudéac, Pontivy, Baud, Pluvigner, Auray, Carnac. Took four hrs - 150 kilometres. We booked in at Reception, and are on 171 which is at the end of the Loire, starting at the far end of the car park. It is facing the high hedge. There are new ‘bogs’ - not much room in the showers, and it’s communal! We sorted out the caravan & awning - a bit cloudy but it didn’t rain. We visisted ‘Les Druides’, brought some food and some boules ‘propre’. Come back to put things away, then went to find Trevor and Wendy. Les Metairies(?) is on the route les megaliths and is absoluement énorme! Took us ages to find their emplacement and when we got there, they were out. We sat on the grass and waited, as I maintained Trevor would arrive around 6pm. I’d just given up, and written a note, when heh appeared. We had a cup of tea with them, and asked them here later. Got back eventually and after eating, played with our new boules. I won and Bill was disgusted! We spent a pleasant evening with Trevor and Wendy - beaucoup du vin! They brought some Muscadet Sur Lie with them, which went down very well.
