Getting lost in Medieval towns
Started by taking wrong road, ended up at Dun-le-Palestel. Bill bought two maps 72 & 68, and we had a very expensive cup of coffee! Retraced our steps to Eguzon, and then to St Benoit du-Sault to see the Medieval town, and the Marché aux Puces. Just like ours at home, but some real antiques, very expensive. It was hot and we went to the lake at Chambon where there were all kinds of watersports. I dabbled my feet in the water, and we sat watching people falling off planches et voiles. We stayed in St. Benoit for lunch, which was 48.50 and had 4 courses, crudites (or melon) files de Dandes with a mustard sauce and chips. Then we had cheese, I had goats - it was lovely, then a patisserie. We had some wine. Came back to site, had a swim. I washed my hair. We then phoned up campsites in Sarlat etc. After a while we eventually got in one, on south bank of Dordogne. Peche du Champon, at Cénac.
