Lots of rain at Cognac
Got away at 9:30 - early for us - had help with the caravan, three men suddenly appeared! Went on coaer (?) road, held up a bit with roadworks, which we’d forgotten were there! Weather good, patches of rain later. Stopped for lunch amongst the sunflowers in a roadside restaurant, very good meal, tool about two hours! Reached Cognac, had a bit of difficulty finding the Camping Municipal, but eventually did. A bit primitive as French sites go, but quite O.K. It’s in a lovely park by the river, a bit soggy as it’s rained quite a lot - two Dutch people told us - they have been here a few days. Bill has gone down to the river to fish, but hasn’t any asticots and bread isn’t quite the same - it falls off! Later we played a game with LaDutch! It poured with rain overnight! Site a bit soggy.
