Eventually got up at 9:30 - well we did come back last night singing the Marseillaise! Real reason was the rain (it’s apparently rained here for 3 days - looks as if it will continue that way!). Good facilities here, nice bogs, sit down ones, and all tilted etc. I have the feeling Bill wants to stay here all day - though I don’t! After lunch - fetched from the camp take-away, we went to see Domme, which sits on the hill opposite us, and is a Medieval village completely enclosed by its city walls and a straight drop down the other side, where the valley & UNREADABLE unfolds itself for mile after mile. It really is a beautiful village in the golden stone of the area - full of gift shops & cafes, but for the most part, done very tastefully. We visited the Domme grotto, a good visit, as I’ve never seen so many stalactites, with castles, drapes, columns, towers, all kinds of slopes, quite different, with little archways, you could walk through, talk about grottos, these cones were the grottos to end all grottos! Some of the shops had very unusual jewellery, paintings etc, for sale, four quite expensive, some though were quite reasonable for what they were. Bill has gone to sleep and I’m going to knit.
