La Rochelle & Tour des Quatre Sergents
Super weather. Went along towards the plage early, no sea! Nevertheless, parked car and sat on the beach, Bill’s eyes nearly popping out as even larger
than mine, sprouted all over the place, mostly next to us! I think he will like the beach! Went to find some lunch, found the way to the port instead with its two large twin towers, entry to the harbour, and the Tour des Quatre Sergents, picture overleaf - we climbed the tower, lots of prisoner graffiti, very historical, all mixed up with wars, the English having owned La Rochelle at one time. Finally had a swim after losing ourselves in the town!
