Optician and Chartres
Arose a little late but refreshed. Did very little, but both got our glasses mended, mine had lost a ‘vis’ - but I’d found it - a miracle really! The opticien didn’t charge us anything, and I had a notion to buy a new case, and having decided on one, quickly changed my mind when I found it would have cost £26 odd! Rate of exchange today 9.55 francs to the £. Better day, lovely and sunny - no humidity. We’re off in the morning, going towards Loire, perhaps seeing Chartres. Playing tennis about 8pm.
